URGENT: Republicans passed a slate of Jim Crow-esque legislation to further voter suppression in Georgia.

We need to fight back by hitting them where it hurts most: their money.

Will you add your name and join thousands of other activists calling on companies working in Georgia including Home Depot, Netflix, and Coca Cola to make a pledge to NEVER give a financial contribution to the Republicans who supported these unconstitutional laws?

This is not what a democracy looks like, John.

Last night, Georgia Republicans passed sweeping election regulations in another attempt to suppress our votes and further Trump’s narrative that the 2020 election was stolen from him. The legislation they passed will:

❌ Reduce what hours Georgians are able to vote
❌ Prohibit organizations from giving food and water to voters waiting in line (hours long lines in Georgia are extremely common)
❌ Highly restrict places where folks can drop off their mail-in ballots
❌ Add burdensome requirements for voters to confirm their identity

Let’s be clear about what this is all about: Republicans are furious that women, Brown, and Black voters turned out in historic numbers to flip Georgia. Now, they’re doing everything they can to take away our grassroots power.

Here’s how we’re going to fight back: Voting rights organizations are calling on influential companies that do work in Georgia like Delta, Coca-Cola, Southern Company, Home Depot Inc, United Parcel Service Inc, Disney, Netflix, and Aflac Inc to stand against this blatant voter suppression attempt and pledge to never again give donations to the Republicans who passed these laws.

Will you add your name and join the call on these companies to cut off their financial support for the politicians who supported this slate of Jim Crow legislation?

This is a blatant attack on the election process and an attempt to suppress our grassroots power.

And it’s not the first time Republicans have fought to bend the rules in the South.

Leading up to the election, Lindsey Graham relied on voter suppression tactics, gerrymandering, and a Trump-style playbook to win his own Senate race. After the numbers came out showing a Biden victory, Trump issued threats and asked Georgia officials to “find 11,780 votes” to overturn Biden’s win in the state.

There is a long and dark history in Georgia and across our country of politicians suppressing Brown and Black votes. The legislation that was passed yesterday is a terrifying reminder of the Jim Crow laws that were used for decades to restrict our right to vote.

It’s critical we respond to this latest attack on voters’ rights in full force. Please add your name now to our petition: It takes less than one minute to sign and call on influential companies in Georgia to uphold their promises to support Black Lives.

Keep fighting,

Women’s March
