Last week, I shared about the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), an extremely well-funded advocacy group deploying their curriculum on innocent schoolchildren. Yet their goal is much larger, impacting college students and every American.
The latest offering from Swarthmore College is backed by the SPLC, which has designed several college and university courses. Called "Queering the Bible," it promises to "destabilize long-held assumptions" about what the Bible says about gender.
The SPLC has sparked on-campus protests against conservative speakers... and that's not all.
A "hate map" from SPLC lists Family Research Council -- and many other Christian and Catholic groups that hold to an orthodox Christian view of marriage and sexuality -- as "hate groups."
Not only is this unfair targeting. People have actually used their map to commit violence. For those of us who oppose their hard-core leftist agenda, we are somehow labeled "hateful."
With $518 million in assets, the SPLC is a powerful foe. FRC is standing in their way, and we're not budging. But we need your help to sustain our mission.

Victory for the SPLC would be to silence Christians and eliminate our influence in America, and with it, the traditional family, the church, conservative businesses, and any teaching of Judeo-Christian values still permitted in schools today.
One look at the SPLC's "hate map" tells the story, as their enemies list includes several pro-family, pro-faith, pro-freedom groups.
Alongside FRC, they smear the American Family Association, the Center for Family and Human Rights (C-FAM), the Illinois Family Institute, and our friends at Alliance Defending Freedom.
You may remember it was FRC's prominent spot on the SPLC "hate map" that a shooter used to find and enter our Washington, D.C. headquarters in 2012, armed with 100 rounds of ammunition and the intent to kill employees.
He was stopped by our building manager, Leo Johnson, who was shot while subduing the SPLC-inspired assassin. The assailant confessed to police that he had planned to kill as many people as possible.
How is the SPLC accomplishing their mission? This leftist group has long had its tentacles in countless media organizations across the country. For years, hundreds of "news" outlets have picked up and run as hard news any report issued by the SPLC.
As you might expect, the SPLC also has liberal Hollywood and Big Business in their corner. George Clooney donated $1 million in 2017 specifically to "combat hate groups," and Apple CEO Tim Cook announced his own seven-figure gift to SPLC.
It's just the tip of the iceberg. Other corporate donors include Bank of America, Kraft, Heinz, Lyft, Liberty Mutual, JP Morgan Chase, Shell, Verizon, and many more. For our strategy to combat lies with the truth, we at FRC believe your gift of any amount can go a long way.

Now the SPLC's reign as puppet-master to the liberal media could be unraveling.
Citizens and conservative media are beginning to hold the media accountable, calling out those using the discredited organization as their source.
In a rare instance of journalistic integrity, multiple mainstream news outlets have now published pieces revealing the poison fruit of an organization that has lost its way. The SPLC has been shown to denigrate within its own walls the very people it claims to stand for!
As it begins to collapse under the weight of its own hypocrisy, the SPLC is not taking time for self-examination. Rather, they are doubling down on targeting and marginalizing those whose views differ from their radical agenda.
We must put as much pressure on the embattled SPLC as possible. FRC is dedicating resources, resources that we do not currently have, to fight back for parents and families across the nation.
While our budget may not appear to be a lot of money in comparison to what we're up against, we are also not in this fight alone. After all, FRC exists to be your Christian voice on Capitol Hill... along with millions of Americans who stand with us.
