Chairman's Note Weekly Glance at Governor Chris Sununu Senate Update from Senator Chuck Morse Upcoming Events Republican Spotlight: Danielle Rieger Senate Republican Update NHFRW Update NHGOP Tweets
Note from Chairman Stepanek Friend,
In this week's newsletter we celebrate another month of state Republican party successes; most recently being John Formella’s confirmation as our next Attorney General! I know John’s incredible skill set and distinguished work ethic will be of immeasurable value to the State of New Hampshire, and I join all Granite Staters in wishing him luck and success in his new role! John’s nomination was yet another great nomination by Governor Chris Sununu this year, and I applaud our Republican Executive Council - Joe Kenney, Janet Stevens, Ted Gatsas, and Dave Wheeler - for getting the job done and confirming the Governor’s extremely qualified nominees over the last few months.
As we continue to look forward to the 2022 election cycle, we want folks to have the opportunity to stay as involved with the party as possible. There’s many ways to contribute, such as volunteering a few weekend hours to knocking doors for special election candidates, or simply contributing via financial support. No matter how small, your actions help to strengthen our party and bring us that much closer to a successful election cycle.
Additionally, we have some great events coming up, such as our virtual Zoom fundraiser with the Honorable Mike Pompeo on March 29th. This event supplies critical funding to our efforts to elect Bill Boyd as a State Representative in the Hillsborough District 21’s special election. This seat was last held by our own Speaker Dick Hinch, a deeply respected leader in our party who dedicated years to protecting conservative values. Speaker Dick Hinch was a dear friend and I can still see him at rallies saying “Hell YES!” or “that dog won’t hunt”. We are working tirelessly to ensure his legacy is preserved through our Republican candidate, Bill Boyd, who will continue to fight for his values.
As a reminder, please encourage folks to subscribe to our newsletter, and if there’s anything you would like us to highlight, please reach out to [email protected]!
Sincerely,
Stephen Stepanek NHGOP Chairman

Senate Update from Senate President Morse Funding students
The New Hampshire Senate has passed a fundamental reform to our education system, creating the largest school choice program in our state's history, the Education Freedom Accounts Act. Education Freedom Accounts would allocate the state's education adequacy payments to qualified Scholarship Organizations, which would be able to use the funds for a wide range of education expenses. This would empower families to seek out the best possible education for their children. Every time we try to improve education in New Hampshire, we hear the same objections. But school choice is not a threat to local schools. In fact, school choice programs across the nation have not only benefited the students who enroll in them, but also improve existing schools and save money for taxpayers. I want to thank Sen. Ruth Ward, Sen. Erin Hennessey, and Sen. Denise Ricciardi for their great work on the Senate Education Committee in considering and improving this bill. The Education Freedom Accounts Act will inject competition and choice into New Hampshire schools, providing better options for students who need options outside of their local schools. Sen. Republican Spotlight: Meet Danielle Rieger This week’s Republican spotlight falls on Danielle Rieger of Derry, who has been involved with New Hampshire politics since 2008. Danielle has assisted in several campaigns in addition to participating on her local town committee, expressing a true passion for our state Republican Party. In 2017 she was also awarded the NH Young Republicans Gipper Award.
Danielle represented the town of Derry at the 2018 NHGOP convention as well as having served as a NH Delegate for President Donald J. Trump at the 2020 RNCConvention.
Thank you Danielle for your incredible efforts to build strong, republican leadership. We are so grateful to have you as a member of the New Hampshire Republican Party, and we look forward to seeing what further accomplishments you bring to the party in the future.
NH Republican House Update:
House Republicans Praise Right-to-Work Legislation
Concord, NH – House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) and House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services Chairman Will Infantine (R-Manchester) released the following statements following the hearing on SB61, prohibiting collective bargaining agreements that require employees to join a labor union:
Majority Leader Osborne: “This is about giving Granite Staters the freedom they deserve in addition to the clear economic benefits of passing this bill. Workers should not be coerced into paying union dues just to hold a job. Three years ago the Supreme Court decided that public sector employees cannot be forced to pay union dues as part of their employment and workers in private industry should be afforded the same opportunity. Despite what the opponents of this bill say, it does nothing to affect an individual’s ability to join or form a union, it simply allows them to make a decision on whether or not membership is worth their hard earned money.”
Chairman Will Infantine: “New Hampshire has a golden opportunity to jump-start its economic growth by becoming New England’s only Right-to-Work state. If the 27 Right-to-Work states nationwide have proven anything it’s that passing this legislation will result in more jobs, better wages, and more freedom for New Hampshire’s workforce.”
NHFRW is founding a new 'Lakes Region' Club!
The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women is so excited to announce that we are starting another club! This will be our second new club this year. Support for our current clubs along with new club development is crucial to being organized for our 2022 get-out-the-vote efforts!
The Lakes Region FRW is having their organizational meeting on April 20 at 7pm to elect their Executive Officers and approve their Bylaws. They need 10 female members to join for $35 as founding members to start their club! The Lakes Region FRW will aim to represent women in any town in the "lakes region" of NH and will be based in Belknap County.
We had a great bracket for our very type of March Madness:
New Hampshire's Most out-of-touch Democrats!
It was a tough competition, filled with highly qualified candidates, but ultimately we finished with these final four : Ray Buckley, Wendy Thomas, Andru Volinsky, and last but not least, Sherry Frost.
Sherry Frost and Wendy Thomas went ahead to the final matchup, and although votes are still being submitted, Thomas seems to be the fan favorite for this Championship round.
