Each year we celebrate César Chávez Day to honor one of the most accomplished advocates for worker rights in our nation’s history. Chávez fought for better conditions for the thousands of workers who labored on farms for low wages and under severe conditions. He tirelessly and peacefully championed the need for basic protections and laid the groundwork for organized labor across the country.

César Chávez Day is next week, but his legacy is something we should always keep in mind as we continue to advocate for workers’ rights.

Strengthening the rights of every worker is critical — especially when so many essential workers have kept our country moving forward amidst this pandemic.

That’s why it’s so important we keep fighting and standing up for all of our workers. If you agree, please sign our petition now in honor of César Chávez Day next week:

The fight for basic worker protections has been a long one. I will continue to be a force in Congress that makes sure workers have appropriate health and safety protections, are receiving fair pay, and can organize together to improve their workplace without fear of retaliation.

Thank you for joining me,
