Amanda Gragg
------------------------------------------------------------

Amanda is a born and raised Northern California native and moved to New York 3 years ago to pursue her dream: revolutionizing the fashion industry through sustainability/tech, while also working full time in technology and finishing her MBA. She's no stranger to the East Coast, though. She spent most of her childhood between DC and California as a military brat, as her father served directly under the Surgeon General in the USPHS. Also a former Division I athlete in Track & Field, she graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2008 and served 6 years as a Marine officer. During her time in service, she served as a Chief of Staff within the intelligence sector.

Growing up in very blue states her whole life, she struggled to find friends with similar conservative Christian values. This continued after serving under the Bush and Obama administration and gaining a broader understanding of what was so horribly broken in our nation's political endeavors. After working for several years in the fashion/beauty industry here in New York, and their response to the 2020 election, she felt more alone than ever, which led her to join the NYYRC. Prior to 2020, she never took an activist approach to politics but is now excited to begin getting involved in being a part of giving the Republican party the makeover it so desperately needs.

Under the leadership of the original founding members Gabriel E. Montalvo, Fernando Acosta Jr., Aldo J. Solares, Andres A. Aguilar, Angel D. Quiroz, and Matthew Castaneda, we will achieve our goals. We will spread conservative values, support candidates who reflect the best interests of our community and country, and combat the Democratic Party’s “Urban Plantation” mentality to give all Latinos a chance to achieve the American Dream through hard work and perseverance.


** Endorsement: Mark Szuszkiewicz For City Council (CD-47)

The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Mark Szuszkiewicz for City Council District 47. A Brooklyn native and true patriot, Mark has worked both blue-collar and white-collar jobs within finance, real estate, trucking, and taxi driving. Mark was the 2020 Republican nominee for State Assembly District 46 (and election night winner) and is now seeking the seat of incumbent City Councilman Mark Treyger of the 47th District.

Mark has laid out a thorough, rational policy framework around improving and expanding education; addressing the linkages between drug addiction, mental health, and homelessness; igniting local economic growth; and ensuring future election integrity. He has been endorsed unanimously by every county committee member of the Brooklyn GOP, the King’s County Conservative Party, and former State Assembly Candidate Tom McCarthy, amongst others.

Mark proved to us back in November that South Brooklyn is up for grabs; the New York Young Republican Club urges all voters within the 47th City Council District to fight back against New York City corruption and the broader threat of Communism by sending a fighter for this city’s forgotten men and women to City Council.

During this transformative time for the New York Young Republican Club, many of you have reached out to us asking how to get more involved with the club, and how to better support our efforts.

One effective way to do this is to join a committee. We are currently looking for Vice-Chairs for many of our committees, who will receive special discounts for working events and recognition on our website. In addition to Vice Chair positions, we are looking to build all of our committees in terms of members.
