Fight for $15

**************************
John,

I work two jobs on the frontlines of the COVID pandemic -- as a fast-food worker and an in-home caregiver.

I'm proud to care for my community. To cook and feed people after a long day of work. To help families provide long-term care for a child or elderly loved one.

But working two jobs for poverty wages, struggling to get PPE or sick pay at work so I can protect my kids -- it's unfair and exhausting.

The way we treat people who care for our communities is broken. That's why I'm telling Congress to invest in creating high quality care and good, union jobs in the next pandemic recovery package.

Share with me: how have care workers cared for your community during the COVID pandemic? [[link removed]]

Home care workers, nursing home workers, and fast-food workers all faced impossible challenges during the pandemic. When the world stopped, we kept working and we went on strike, called lawmakers, and leaned on each other to get through shortages of PPE and the overwhelming fear of getting sick with the virus.

This is about standing up with workers making less than $15 because what it's like to work hard and struggle to get by. Now, care workers need our solidarity to push the President and Congress to deliver good union care jobs and a long term care system that every family can access and afford. This is about standing up with black and brown women who are the majority of the care workforce. This is about standing up with immigrants who do this work. This is about our movement.

Share your story -- it's a powerful way to show the real-life problems we are facing and the solutions we need! [[link removed]]
