John,
Wanted to make sure you saw this story in the Wisconsin State Journal yesterday. State
Superintendent of Public Instruction candidate Jill Underly used her district email account to collect contact information for campaign
supporters:
As Underly’s opponent Deb Kerr points out: “The fact is Dr. Underly used her school email account to send messages asking people to contact her to discuss her campaign. She is campaigning on government resources and it is illegal… Intentionally skirting state law is not a standard procedure. Anyone who thinks or says so is disqualified from holding public office.”
Rather than use our schools as campaign offices, Wisconsin families deserve a State Superintendent of Public Instruction who will follow the law. Fortunately, Wisconsinites have a strong choice in Dr. Deb Kerr, who has pledged to reopen our schools, protect school choice and put parents and kids first -- not union bosses.
This race is too important to sit out. Make sure you remind your friends and family to vote April 6th for Deb Kerr! You can read more about Dr. Kerr on her website here.
