Hello John,


My Democratic colleagues and I have joined President Biden in pledging to heal the soul of our nation and move forward into a brighter future, and we’re delivering on our promises. But despite our efforts, we have also experienced several challenging moments this year.

Whether it was the attempted insurrection, the slew of voting restrictions proposed in state legislatures across the country, U.S. deaths from COVID-19 passing 500,000, the increase in hate crimes against Asian Americans, or the horror of the mass shootings in Atlanta and Boulder, our country’s soul has taken a beating.

But my colleagues and I are persevering. In the past few months, we sent the American Rescue Plan to President Biden’s desk, a bill that helps get vaccines into arms and money into pockets. The U.S. House passed the For the People Act to protect the voting rights of ALL Americans. We also sent the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021 to the Senate to require a background check for every firearm sale, thus closing the private gun sale loophole of which the majority of Americans disapprove.

I am working tirelessly for my constituents, representing their values and the values of the American people, here in Congress. But I can’t continue without your support. And this year will be quite a fight – the National Republican Congressional Committee has already named me one of their top targets for the 2022 mid-term elections.
