Hi John,

Rochester students need your help! Rochester schools have laid off hundred of educators and the district is still facing a huge deficit. We need to make state legislators continue to fight in Albany for full funding for Rochester's schools. For our third day of action, join us as we use social media to put pressure on Rochester Assemblymember Harry Bronson to fight for fully funded public schools! Our State Legislators must hold firm in the commitment that they made to our schools and our communities. We need every State Legislator to fight for no less than $7 billion in new revenue in the enacted budget to meet the urgent needs of our communities — not one penny less than what’s in the one-house education budget.

DAY THREE

Social Media Takeover

Assemblyman Harry Bronson is influential in the Rochester delegation, a high need community where New York State owes schools over $89 million in Foundation Aid.  Help us take over his social media today urging him to fight to for the state budget to fully fund New York’s public schools!

For years, New York State has refused to fully fund our schools. Rochester has the second highest child poverty rate in the nation, and New York State owes schools over $89 million. Assemblyman Bronson, we need you to fight to ensure the final budget includes not a penny less than what's in the Assembly one-house budget proposal for education. We need to protect students, not billionaires!

Watch for tomorrow's email with our next way to take action. You can sign up for updates on the Week of Action here.
