Hey there, we wanted to make sure you saw Ben’s email from the other day. It’s long, but he lays out exactly why we need to get rid of Ron Johnson, and our strategy for how to do it.
If we want to win back this swing state Senate seat in 2022, it’s going to take long-term investment—and that means that we need to hit every single goal we set for ourselves if we want to stay on track and have the resources to carry our strategy out.
With our first End of Quarter deadline of the year coming up in just five days, we still have nearly $30,000 left to raise to hit our goal. Can we count on you to help us get there?

Hi team,
We know that Ron Johnson is America’s Worst Senator. We know that it’s beyond critical to replace him with a Democrat. We know that his continued presence in the United States Senate is a danger to our democracy and a consistent undermining of our democratic ideals.
However, Ron Johnson seems to have made it his personal mission to outdo himself at every turn. Let’s take a minute to go through his greatest hits of the last few months:
- Just this past week Ron Johnson said he wasn’t worried about the predominantly white supporters of President Donald Trump during the deadly insurrection at the Capitol, but that he might have been if they had been Black Lives Matter protesters.
- He followed the above vile statement by claiming that the insurrectionists during the riots “truly respect law enforcement” and “loved this country.”
- He said that he wouldn’t get the COVID vaccine because the “best immunity possible” probably comes from having had the disease. (A claim the CDC disagrees with.)
- This past Saturday he told a conference of conservative political organizers that “there was no violence on the Senate side, in terms of the chamber”, even though rioters stormed the chamber after senators were evacuated.
-
He peddled a false history of the country and etymology of Greenland -- bizarrely and incorrectly -- to back up his claim that climate change is not real. The New York Times even wrote about this in an attempt to fact check him.
I am not telling you this for fun. Ron Johnson is dangerous to our democracy, deliberately offensive towards those he claims to represent, and embarrassingly bad at his job -- and the clock has already started in the race to replace him.
Our first End of Quarter deadline of the year is coming up next Wednesday at midnight, and we have just seven days to raise $50,000 if we want to stay on track. We’re in the middle of preparing digital ads and billboard mock ups, but if we don’t hit our goal, we may need to hit the brake on all of it -- which could severely set us back. Could you make a contribution right now to our $50,000 End of Quarter goal?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately:
We have less than two years to go all in on Ron, to run ads and billboards to ensure Wisconsinites know what he stands for, and less than two years to run an advanced organizing program to try to talk to every voter in the state. We have a plan to defeat Ron Johnson, but to carry it through we need to hit every single fundraising goal between now and Election Day.
I only ask you to contribute under the most important circumstances -- and this is one of them. If we want to win and topple Ron Johnson, we cannot afford to be anything less than prepared.
Can you make a contribution right now towards our $50,000 End of Quarter goal before the deadline next Wednesday at midnight?
Thanks,
Ben Wikler
