It's important for me to keep you updated on the work we're doing -- so I wanted to let you know what's been keeping Team Scanlon busy these days in Congress and in PA-05!

We passed the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act -- including two amendments that I wrote to increase access to legal aid among domestic abuse survivors.

We passed adjustments to the Victims of Crime Act, ensuring victims of crime will get their needed federal compensation.

We passed the DREAM Act, which, if it passes the Senate, will provide a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants who came to this country as children.
In addition to our progress in Washington, I have some updates from closer to home:

Last weekend, Team Scanlon participated in a stream cleanup through CRC Watersheds, helping to ensure our district stays beautiful.

And finally, we hosted a special guest in PA-05: President Joe Biden!
