Serving alongside Tammy Duckworth in the Senate has been such an incredible honor. She’s a trailblazer, a fierce advocate for working families, and a trusted leader for her constituents.

In 2004, Tammy lost both of her legs in a helicopter attack when she was on deployment in Iraq. Instead of giving up, she focused her efforts to improve other veterans’ lives.

And she was the first woman to give birth while in office, even bringing her baby to the Senate floor so she could vote. I’ve seen firsthand how hard she fights for equality, working families, reproductive health care, and more.
