Our first fundraising quarter of the 2022 cycle closes next Wednesday, and, to be frank, we could really use your help.
If you’ve been a longtime support of Salud’s you know why these fundraising deadlines are so important, but, if you’ve recently joined our team, we want to give you a quick explanation of why your help is so essential.
Competitive Congressional races can cost millions of dollars, so at the beginning of each cycle we create a detailed fundraising plan with monthly goals so we are prepared to run a vigorous campaign come election time. These monthly goals are very important to meet, because if we fall behind, it can be difficult to catch up.
Additionally, at the end of each quarter our fundraising totals become public, and national Republican operatives and potential opponents scan every financial report to jump on the slightest sign of vulnerability.
Needless to say, we don’t want to end up on their short list.
It is more important than ever to keep a Democratic majority in the House, and to keep Representatives like Salud fighting for issues like COVID-19 vaccination rollout expansion and economic relief, commonsense gun laws and environmental protections. That’s why we need your help.
