Healing Groups for Black-Identified and Non-Black POC Entertainment Professionals


Black-Identified: Tuesday, April 6, 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT / 11 am PT
Non-Black POC: Thursday, April 8, 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT / 11 am PT

Healing with The Actors Fund provides Black-identified and Non-Black POC entertainment professionals a space to affirm experiences, discuss the impact of racial injustice within the entertainment industry and community as a whole, and foster a place for restorative dialog and compassion. These groups will also process disproportionate ways COVID-19 has affected non-white communities and provide support and resources between participants.

 


The Career Center

The Career Center offers a comprehensive suite of online programs and services that help entertainment industry and performing arts professionals to identify and find sideline work and discover new careers outside the industry.

Get started by attending The Career Center Orientation (Monday* or Thursday) to enroll in the career services offered. Once you've done that, you can attend workshops including Resume Writing Workshop*, Career Journey and more.

Additional workshops include How to Job Search in a Pandemic, Part 1*.

Financial Wellness

Financial Wellness online workshops and seminars increase your financial knowledge and help you learn the tools and skills to support lifelong financial health and stability.

Take Budgeting Nuts & Bolts* on Tuesdays, proudly sponsored by Actors Federal Credit Union, to learn the basics of financial wellness. You can also attend the Thursday session, and additional workshops include Tax Matters: COVID-19 Stimulus and the Entertainment Community*.

The Actors Fund offers personalized health insurance counseling and enrollment support via Entertainment Health Insurance Solutions, referrals to health care resources, seminars on how to best care for yourself and more.

The Actors Fund operates several affordable housing residences across the country, including The Palm View in West Hollywood, and also offers online resources to help you learn more about affordable housing opportunities and other housing-related issues you may encounter.
