There’s a crisis unfolding on our southern border unlike any we’ve ever seen.

 

The entire Biden Administration is actively refusing to acknowledge the reality of what’s happening and only a handful of Democrats in Congress have been willing to speak up and even call this a “crisis,” which is why it is growing more out-of-control by the day.

 

Make no mistake, John, –– this is what happens when our leaders downplay the need for border security, promise amnesty, and issue executive orders that fail to slow the dangerous flow of illegal immigration.

 

And the facts speak for themselves:

• More unaccompanied minors were apprehended in January (5,707) than at the start of any other year on record.

• 75,198 illegal migrants were apprehended at the southern border in January –– the highest number we’ve seen since 2006.

In the midst of this crisis, dangerous cartels and other criminal organizations are thriving off illicit arms trades, smuggling massive amounts of narcotics, and trafficking women and children across the border.

 

Washington simply can’t afford to let this crisis spin out of control –– and this is exactly why Mike introduced a package of bills earlier this year to secure our border, combat drug and human trafficking in Mexico, and reduce the backlog of over a million immigration cases in our judicial system.
