Help protect abortion access now »
Something terrible is happening in Lubbock, Texas — and if it succeeds, other cities could follow their lead.
Lubbock is voting on May 1 to declare itself a “Sanctuary City for the Unborn.” Not only would this ban abortion outright, it also would allow someone to sue any person who helps a patient secure an abortion, including by driving the patient to a clinic or providing information about how to access abortion care.
You and I know that this is NOT what Texans want, but polling shows that it will be a close vote, which means there's no time to waste. Our friends at Lubbock Coalition for Healthcare Access, the folks fighting this ban, urgently need help to defeat this measure.
Your emergency donation today will go directly to their efforts to turn out enough Lubbock voters to VOTE DOWN this dangerous ordinance »

Politicians across the country are watching closely. They see this Lubbock vote as a clear path forward to ending access to abortion. To be clear: the right to abortion is still a constitutional right protected under the law, but this ordinance is purposely trying to block access to abortion.
We won't let that happen, and we want Texans to know we stand with them and we're fighting by their side.
Everyone deserves abortion access, regardless of their ZIP code — and politicians have no right to determine if and when we seek reproductive health care.
Help stop this abortion ban — and the dangerous precedent it will set for other cities. Pitch in now to ensure abortion stays accessible for West Texans.
