Applications for the 2021/22 Studentships are now open!
Set up to honor the memory of the late and great John Blundell, the studentship allows freedom-minded students to undertake postgraduate study that they wouldn't otherwise have been able to afford.
What is the Studentship?
The Studentship consists of a single grant between £3,000 and £5,000 towards fees and/or living expenses, an assigned mentor to check on your progress, and a series of seminars and other events.
It is also an opportunity to become a part of the ASI community. Previous students have gone on to write papers for the ASI, spoken at international events, and appeared in media.
These studentships are only possible with the help of our donors who help us ensure that freedom maintains a voice in academia.
Who is eligible?
Students are eligible if they have:
Made a tangible contribution to (or can demonstrate a clear interest in) the advancement of personal or economic freedom
Are currently applying for or undertaking postgraduate studies in the humanities and social sciences at a recognised UK university (you must have a reasonable prospect of success in being accepted and/or completing this postgraduate course - the grant will only be awarded once accepted onto the postgraduate course)
Can show need (can demonstrate that you do not have sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and basic living costs)
Please share this opportunity with anyone you know who might be interested!
