As my family and I prepare to celebrate the festival of Passover, I wanted to pause for a moment to say thank you for all you do to support Pro-Israel America and the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Passover marks the Jewish exodus from Egypt to the land of Israel, and its emergence as a nation. Passover is a story of triumph over adversity and liberation over oppression, themes that have inspired countless millions throughout the ages. Passover recalls the beginning of the Jewish people’s journey home to the land of Israel, a story of national rebirth repeated both in ancient and modern times. This epic story, experienced annually for thousands of years, serves as a reminder of our collective hope and will to survive.
With the birth of modern Israel, the words “Next Year in Jerusalem,” take on new meaning, as we defend that vision from efforts to delegitimize, undermine, and demonize the Jewish state and the Jewish people’s connection with the city that has been at the center of Jewish consciousness since the time of King David.
Your activism inspires me to believe that we can together ensure freedom and prosperity for America and of Israel. Thanks to you, Pro-Israel America was incredibly successful in our first cycle: we raised over $3 million for pro-Israel candidates, helped elect 70 pro-Israel members of Congress, and sent a clear message to everyone about the strength and power of the pro-Israel community.
While we’ve accomplished so much, we still have some tough battles ahead. Iran, a state that continually calls for putting an end to Israel, continues to inch closer to nuclear capabilities, develop ballistic missiles, and sponsor terrorism throughout the region. International organizations including the International Criminal Court and the United Nations are being used to launch politically-motivated, unfair attacks on Israel and the United States. It’s never been more important to support the U.S.-Israel relationship.
The story of Passover brings us hope. for the second year in a row, many of us will not be able to be with our families as we normally would because of the coronavirus pandemic. But, we are starting to see a light ahead. Even here, the U.S.-Israel relationship has helped us gain valuable knowledge to fight COVID-19.
Whether you celebrate Passover or Easter, we wish you a time of renewed hope and health for America, Israel, and the world.
Thank you again for all that you do to support the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Chag Pesach Sameach!
Thanks,
Jeff and the Mendelsohn Family
P.S. Our family cherishes Grandma Carolyn’s charoset recipe. [[link removed]] It’s a delicious tradition in our household, and we’re happy to share it with you again this year!
