Friend,
We are now just two weeks away from the biggest Liberal virtual event in the history of our party.
Our Liberal team has been busy finalizing all of the planning of the 2021 Liberal National Convention, with Canadians joining in from coast to coast to coast from our kickoff on the evening of Thursday, April 8th until Saturday, April 10th. As a virtual event, this convention will bring together Liberals from all across the country like never before – all from the comfort of your own home.
Today, I’m also excited to share that MPs Marci Ien, Terry Beech, Mona Fortier, and Rachel Bendayan will be serving as our 2021 Convention Co-Chairs, and I know that they can’t wait to welcome you to this one-of-a-kind event.
In the last year, so much of our work has moved online – from our 10 hugely successful Virtual Weekends of Action, to our first-ever virtual Open Town Hall with Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland, and so much more. This convention will be an important extension of that work to grow our movement in innovative new ways at this important moment to shape Canada’s future for the better.
As we gather to discuss policy ideas, hear from special keynote speakers, and take part in a wide array of other exciting sessions, I’m looking forward to hearing your ideas and once again taking our hope and hard work to new heights.
There is still time to register to join Justin Trudeau and our team at Convention, friend. Register as a Liberal and secure your spot today!
Stay tuned for more information about the program, speakers, policy voting and more in the coming days.
I’m looking forward to the discussions we’ll have together!
Azam Ishmael National Director Liberal Party of Canada
P.S. Our team is working hard to make this the most open and accessible convention in Canadian history. If you have any accessibility needs, please reach out to our convention organizing team before March 30 so they can assist, via [email protected]. We’re also working to make the convention family-friendly with a virtual room for kids – so if your family is interested, we invite you to be in touch!
