March 2021 Dear friend,
It has been another busy month at Pro-Israel America! We are working to advance the U.S. Israel relationship in Congress, talking about the policy issues that matter most, and mobilizing to help elect pro-Israel members of Congress. I wanted to share a recent article I wrote about the very dangerous investigation recently launched by the International Criminal Court. Read more below. Thanks for everything you are doing – from taking action to supporting candidates – we couldn’t do this work without you. Please help us reach even more people by forwarding this newsletter to three friends.
Best, Jeff
The International Criminal Court’s (ICC) controversial decision to open an investigation against Israel and the Palestinians is just the latest example of a decades-long effort to manipulate international bodies into undermining Israel’s legitimacy and limiting its ability to defend itself against terror attacks. Clear signs point to the fact that this is not the pursuit of justice; it is a political attack disguised as judicial action. It serves as an important example of why the U.S.-Israel strategic alliance remains so critical. When the Palestinians join with human rights violators like Iran, Syria and North Korea to attack Israel on the international stage, it only hurts their cause and the cause of peace. When the Administration and Congress call out political shams like that undertaken by the ICC, they strengthen international justice and the long-term chances for peace. OH-11 SPECIAL ELECTION: Pro-Israel America announced its endorsement of Shontel Brown, a Democrat running for Ohio’s 11th congressional seat, recently vacated by now-Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge. We were the first pro-Israel PAC to endorse in this election, because we know Shontel Brown is committed to the U.S.-Israel relationship. Brown supports continued security assistance to Israel and Israel’s right to defend itself, and she sees Israel as a strong and valuable partner of the United States for security and beyond. Brown opposes the BDS movement. The primary, which will likely determine the winner of the general election in this strongly Democratic district, will be held on August 3.
You can learn more about Shontel Brown and how you can help support this important race on our PAC website.
