Dear Friend,

This week marks Equal Pay Day in the United States: the average woman had to work through all of 2020 and through March 24, 2021, just to earn what the average man was paid in 2020 alone, regardless of experience or job type.

Disgusting, right? Now, consider this number: $406,000.

That's how much is stolen from women, on average, over the course of their lives by way of this gender pay gap.

That shocking number is part of why I'm a Green and why I hope you will make a donation to the Green Party today. Feminism is a Key Value of the Green Party. We're the only national political party in the U.S. with such a fundamental commitment to gender equity and ending patriarchy.

$406,000 doesn't even count the wage theft rampant in many occupations and industries where women make up the majority of the work force.

Or the countless hiring and promotion opportunities that are denied women due to systemic discrimination.

And today, 03/24, represents the average for how long a woman had to work into 2021 to make what a man was paid in 2020. It takes even longer for many women of color:

• African and Black American women's "Equal Pay Day" will be in late August
  
  
• Native American women: late September
  
  
• Latinx women: late November.

There's no possible justification for why the Parties of War and Wall Street have allowed such exploitation to persist for so long.

Give to the Green Party today so we can recruit, train, run and support women and feminist candidates who are committed to ending the exploitation of all workers, beginning with those most mistreated.
