I just wanted to make sure that you saw Ted’s note from this morning.

At midnight tonight, we’ll be closing the books on our third fundraising quarter of the year, and it’s a major deadline! But with just a few hours left, we’re still $965 dollars shy of where we need to be. Ted’s told me how important it is to him that we hit this goal, so can he count on you to rush in a donation before midnight?

It’s been a long (read: very long) week for all of us who care about the future of our country, and I know that we’d all like to give Ted some good news. Nothing could better prepare him for the fight ahead than hitting our goal -- or exceeding it! -- so please, chip in today!

What’s most revealing is how many positions aren’t even staffed at all: The Department of Labor and the Department of Homeland Security are currently headed up by acting secretaries, and one in every five key positions across all agencies is unfilled. This administration is what you get when you mix corruption with incompetence, but with your support today, we can ensure that neither continues to define our politics.
