before midnight tomorrow

Tomorrow is the 26th of the month, and as a longtime member of Team Sherrod, you probably know what that means.

On the 26th of every month, I reach out to ask you to chip in $26, our average online contribution, to strengthen our grassroots organization.

But this 26th is different. It’s the most important one of the new election cycle to date.

That’s because this is the first 26th since both Josh Mandel and J.D. Vance waded into the race for the open Ohio Senate seat. If you can, act now by chipping in $26 before midnight tomorrow to prepare for the fights ahead.

Here’s what you need to know about these two extreme right-wing candidates:

JOSH MANDEL: My former opponent entered the race for Ohio’s Senate seat and immediately made a bid for Donald Trump’s support by going “full MAGA” and calling himself “Trump’s number one ally in Ohio.”

J.D. VANCE: The elite venture capitalist is considering entering the race, too, and already, billionaires Peter Thiel and the Mercer family have dumped tens of millions of dollars into a super PAC to bankroll his potential candidacy.

Here’s what Mandel and Vance both have in common: They want to bring back Trump’s anti-worker agenda and divisive rhetoric to Washington. We can’t let that happen -- if you can, chip in right now to stop these phony populists.

With control of the Senate and President Biden in the White House, Democrats have already shown what a government that’s on the side of workers looks like by delivering shots in people's arms and money in people's pockets.

We can continue enacting historic change for the American people, but our Senate Majority is fragile. It would take only one GOP candidate like Mandel or Vance to turn the Senate red and return it to Mitch McConnell’s control.

That’s why this is such a critical turning point for our grassroots organization. And that’s why small-dollar contributions from grassroots activists like you -- whether it’s $26 or $2 or $16 -- make such a big difference. If you can, click here before the end of the day tomorrow to chip in >>

With gratitude,

Sherrod
