Hello,

Earlier this month, I introduced a bill to expand universal background checks on gun purchases. On Saturday, I told Senators Ossoff and Warnock that our thoughts were with them following the mass shooting in Georgia. And only three days later, a mass shooter killed ten people in a Colorado supermarket.

They were essential workers, artists, small business owners and public servants and they will be sorely missed.

I’m sure you’re angry. I’m angry too. It’s long past time for Congress to take action to keep deadly weapons out of the wrong hands.

It is clearer than ever that we must take bold, immediate steps to protect lives. Gun violence is a preventable epidemic.

Sign my urgent petition now demanding Congress pass universal background checks and close the gun show loophole immediately. We cannot wait for another tragedy to strike.

Schools. Concerts. Sporting events. Bars. Restaurants. Religious gatherings. Grocery stores. Enough. No one should have to worry about being a victim in the next mass shooting.
