Hello Friend,
It is looking more likely each week: we may be in an election sooner rather than later. With the federal budget coming next month and vaccines rolling out, rumours are that a general election could be called as soon as April.
A pandemic is not the time for an election, but if it does happen, I’m working hard to make sure we’re ready. I’m meeting with our EDAs and community leaders, recruiting the next generation of MPs through our Time to Run campaign, and building a platform that reflects the ambitions of people across Canada.
You’ve helped me and our caucus to be strong voices for a coordinated COVID-19 response, Guaranteed Livable Income, affordable housing, CERB protections, long-term care, and decisive climate action through a post-pandemic Green Recovery. I hope you’ve seen the momentum that our political courage has earned - the latest Ipsos/Global News poll has the Greens at 10% nationally, up from 6% when I was elected.
Now, I’m looking to you once more. Elections are expensive. The other parties may have deeper pockets, but together we have the power to be stronger than ever. Can I count on your help?

I know without a doubt that with more Greens in Parliament, people everywhere in Canada will be better represented.
