Rapid Response Grant Fund Open Now Request for Proposals: Cross-Racial Healing and Solidarity in a White Supremacist World Photo by Guillaume Issaly on Unsplash Since March of 2020, COVID-19 has disproportionately impacted the Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. While Asian American racism did not start with COVID-19, the spread of the virus has also prompted the rise of anti-Asian racism and xenophobia through the U.S. In response to this violence, we have seen communities of color drawing on histories of cross-racial solidarity to step up for and support the AAPI community, as members of the AAPI community have stood in solidarity with other communities of color as well. Two of our program officers share their reflections on this very thing along with their hopes for this new grant, in our latest blog post.
