John,
Did you watch Governor Holcomb’s statewide address Tuesday?
If you missed it, we’re willing to bet that you’ve already heard the news about Eric’s announcements and the changes that are coming to Indiana as we move forward in this new phase of the fight against COVID-19.
One year ago, Hoosiers were getting used to the idea of hunkering down, masking up, social distancing, and flattening the curve.
We didn’t know much about COVID-19 then, but we knew that in order to beat this virus and protect one another, Hoosiers would have to make sacrifices that were previously unimaginable.
Now, one year into this pandemic, one thing is clear, John:
Hoosiers have risen valiantly to the challenge of combating COVID-19 at every turn –– and that’s why Governor Holcomb announced last night that Indiana is in position to take major steps forward in the coming weeks.
With the rate of hospitalizations, infections, and deaths dropping steadily across the state and the number of daily vaccinations and tests increasing, Hoosiers have plenty of reasons to be hopeful about Indiana’s road ahead.
But we’re not 100% out of the woods yet, John –– and that’s why Governor Holcomb encourages Hoosiers to continue isolating after receiving a positive test, washing hands as much as possible, and being mindful of interactions with seniors and other at-risk groups.
By taking these steps and following local guidelines that may still be in place, Indiana can continue moving in the right direction towards putting the pandemic in the rearview mirror. We wouldn’t be here without the help of Hoosiers like yourself, John, and we can’t thank you enough for that.
Thank you for all your support,
- Holcomb Crew
