As a lawyer, I’ve always lived by deadlines.  It didn’t take long for me to figure out that candidates do, too.  The quarterly fundraising reporting deadlines, like the one tonight, are so important to our campaign.

Before I continue, can you make your first contribution to our campaign tonight?

FEC deadlines aren’t arbitrary. After the deadline, we have to file a report with the Federal Election Commission, which demonstrates to all just how much support we have.  It’s time to show the world we’re ready to hold this seat.

I know how strong the support for this campaign is and I want the outside can groups who are already pouring their money into this race to know, too.
