Host or attend an online event

This year, we’ve made it easier than ever to host a virtual event. You can choose from three different templated events, and we’ll provide all the details you need to host a successful event. Or, you can create your own unique SAAM event. The national SAAM event list is growing every day, so check it out if you’re looking for an event to attend. Most events are virtual, and you can join from anywhere!

Participate in the #30DaysofSAAM Instagram challenge

Returning again this year is our popular #30DaysofSAAM Instagram challenge, an opportunity to connect online with other advocates, activists, and survivors. Share the great work you’re doing in your community and express yourself creatively by responding to our daily prompts — with a chance to win prizes every day you participate. To start planning, check out the full list of prompts.

Spread the word on social media

Want to bring awareness to the issue of online harassment and assault, but aren’t sure where to start? Our social media guidance makes it easy, with sample posts, links, graphics, and gifs to share with your online audience.

Wear teal on the Day of Action

Tuesday, April 6 is the SAAM Day of Action! Wear teal — the color of sexual assault prevention — and share a selfie on Twitter and Instagram using #SAAM2021. Participating in the Day of Action is a great opportunity to show that you support survivors and that you’re a safe person for a survivor to reach out to.

Proclaim that April is SAAM

Download the SAAM Proclamation and call on a public official in your community to sign it. Showing public support through the Proclamation is a way to unify communities working towards the same goal of raising awareness during April and beyond.
