Combating Anti-Asian Racism
Actionable Ways to Combat Anti-Asian Racism
Hate crimes targeting the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community have increased exponentially throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Stop AAPI Hate’s new national report documented nearly 3,800 accounts of anti-Asian hate incidents from March 2020 to February 2021, and last week in Atlanta, a white shooter took the lives of eight people, most of whom were women of AAPI descent. If you or your organization is looking for actionable ways to support the AAPI community and stand firmly against hate, we rounded up some useful resources on our blog, including tips from our iconic Love Has No Labels campaign, which released “Fight the Virus. Fight the Bias.” (pictured above) last year.
