I wanted to personally invite you to a special virtual event on Thursday, April 1st hosted by renowned feminist activist, writer, and speaker Jamia Wilson.

In addition to being a good friend of mine, Jamia is the Executive Editor at Random House, one of the largest book publishers in the world, and was formerly the youngest and first woman of color to serve as the Director and Publisher of the Feminist Press at CUNY. Jamia has been a leading voice on women’s rights issues for over a decade and has published numerous books and articles.

I will be speaking with Jamia about New York’s historic upcoming election and how we can create a better and more equal city through progressive action and reform. I’d love to have you join us if you’re available.

During Thursday’s event, Jamia and I will discuss what changes and reforms we must prioritize and fight for in order to build a New York that works for all of us, not just a select few. We’ll also open up discussion to all attendees so you can have your voice heard, ask questions, and propose ideas.
