I'm Nina Turner, and I'm running to be the next congresswoman for Ohio's 11th District in this August's primary special election.

I'm running because I believe in an America that is as good as its promise, an America committed to justice — economic, racial, social, health care, and environmental justice — for all of us.

I know the Working Families Party does too. That's why I'm proud to share that I just signed on in support of the People's Charter.

By signing the People's Charter, I am joining thousands of Working Families Party members, leaders, and candidates across the country in stating our collective commitment to care for the wronged, give emergency care, provide a good job for everyone who needs one, care for each other, and care for the future.

We can achieve these goals by passing policies like Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, a $15 minimum wage, and more. But we can't do it without electing more working families champions to Congress first. And that's where you come in, John.

Over the years, I've fought for policies that lift up working people as a Cleveland City Councilor, Ohio State Senator, president of Our Revolution, and national co-chair of Bernie Sanders' 2020 campaign.

In each of these roles, one thing was the same: Every victory we won, every policy passed was because of people like you standing up and demanding change.

I know that we can win big again, but we need to be together every step of the way.
