Last year, McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski acknowledged the growing popularity of plant-based eating as McDonald’s announced the creation of its meatless McPlant line (which was recently confirmed to be supplied by Beyond Meat). He went on to state that it will not rush into a global launch as the debut of the McPlant line will instead be “dictated by customer demand.” Recently, the fast-food giant began testing its first McPlant patty in select locations throughout Sweden and Denmark.
