Hello Somebody!
In just a minute, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign before our end of month FEC deadline. But first, I want to tell you a story about my family. I hope you’ll take a minute to read on.
As a little girl, I would always ask my grandma what it would take to be successful in life.
She told me that all you need are the three bones: the wishbone, the jawbone and the backbone. The wishbone to keep you hoping, the jawbone to give you courage to speak truth to power, and the backbone to keep you standing through all your trials and tribulations.
You know me, so you know I took my grandma’s wisdom to heart. I’m running for Congress because you deserve a leader who will stand up fearlessly on your behalf.
When I get to Congress, Ohio’s 11th District is going to have someone not only willing to speak truth to power, but work every day to ensure that policies provide much needed relief for our community.
Getting there won’t be easy. We’re going to need that backbone to stand up to those who will do and spend anything necessary to stop us. But if we’re in this together, they won’t have a chance. So I am asking:
The best way to build a campaign is with grassroots power — people power. This is a campaign that is being built by ordinary people volunteering, making their voices heard, and investing what they can when they can to help power us to victory.
Thank you for being a part of it.
With these hands,
Nina Turner
