Friend,

Cox’s Bazar -- the largest refugee camp in the world and home to over 850,000 Rohingya refugees -- is reeling after a massive fire on Monday afternoon damaged critical shelters, health clinics, water-supply networks and more.

The reports from our teams on the ground are gut-wrenching: The fire’s destruction has displaced over 45,000 refugees and more than half of them are children. Rohingya refugees already lost so much when they fled violence and persecution in their home country of Myanmar. Now, for 45,000 people, the fire consumed what little they had left.

We’re working quickly to rush aid to impacted families, but we need your immediate help to strengthen response efforts in the hours and days to come. Rush your gift to send emergency support to these refugee children and other vulnerable families worldwide.

We still don’t know the full scale of the fire’s destruction, but we do know that our recovery efforts can’t wait. UNICEF-supported health clinics are essential in the fight to control the spread of COVID-19 and keep refugee families healthy. Your donation today can help keep our lifesaving operations, like child protection, health and nutrition services, up and running in the aftermath of this fire.

Refugee children in crisis can’t wait, Friend. Donate now to rush immediate aid >>
