GOAL: 150 generous donors!
This makes me proud:
Here's why. Every time the number on this counter goes up, it represents a Special Olympics athlete whose life we've been able to change since you opened this email.
Really: Each time you see that number increase, it means an athlete has experienced the transformative power of sport — right here and throughout the world.
It's so inspiring! And, that’s the power you have to help athletes today!
When you give to Special Olympics, you invest in hope and joy for Special Olympics athletes. You say 'no' to isolation and fear — and 'yes' to the idea that every athlete has the right to play on any field, study in any classroom, or hold any job they like.
We’re looking for 150 donors to chip in today and join our efforts to keep athletes safe. Will you make a gift of $25 now to help us reach our goal?
Your support today will help create amazing stories for athletes like Kiera. Before Special Olympics, Kiera struggled to fit in with her peers:
"I tried to participate in sports, but I got teased. … The children would say horrible words to make me cry, and I didn’t understand at the time why I did what I did. I thought I was the one who was stupid and thick because that’s what others told me."
But then Kiera started cycling and swimming with Special Olympics and everything changed:
"Who am I now? I am confident, I am of value, and most of all I am myself. No one can make me feel less than that anymore. I have ID, and I’m proud to be who I am."
Kiera's is an amazing story. But we all know that for every athlete like Kiera whose life has been changed by Special Olympics, there's another athlete still waiting to get on the field.
That is why I am asking you today to help however you can. Will you chip in now to help us reach our goal of 150 donors by March 31?
I want to personally thank you for your support of our movement — in your community, in your country, and anywhere in the world where a Special Olympics athlete is ready to take the oath. Thank you for making their hearts so full.
Have a great day,
Kelli Seely
