Last March, when the COCO Fund was founded, restaurant and hospitality workers were laid off in droves, and many of them were unable to receive government benefits.

Restaurants—the center of our communities—were falling apart at the seams.

The COCO Fund jumped in to help. And while we’re thrilled that we have been able to give life-saving funds to 83 people, we’re saddened by how necessary our work was.

Now more than ever, our work continues to be vitally important.

We have a waiting list of people approved for grants but still waiting on their funds. We hope to be able to grant 17 of these by our one-year anniversary tomorrow.

So please, if you’re able to afford it, rush a tax-deductible recurring or one-time contribution now. Restaurant workers need our help now more than ever, and a recurring donation of even $5 allows us to dramatically increase the number of grants that we’re able to give out.
