Santa Fe Dreamers Project (SFDP) is excited to welcome analía rodríguez as the team’s new Executive Director. Founded in 2014 by former Executive Director Allegra Love, SFDP provides accessible legal services to immigrant communities in New Mexico, Texas, and across the country to promote economic empowerment, community development, family unity, and liberation from detention.
analía rodríguez joins SFDP after serving for 5 years as the Executive Director of Latino Union of Chicago, which collaborates with low-income immigrant and U.S.-born workers to develop the tools necessary to collectively improve social and economic conditions.
Born and raised in Durango, México, analía moved to the U.S. when she was 18 years old and started her organizing career at Latino Union as a day laborer organizer after graduating from college. Leaving Latino Union, she went on to organize around the arts in the Little Village neighborhood, organize parents around education issues, and run after school programming for high school students. analía later returned to Latino Union as Executive Director and was awarded the Leaders for a New Chicago Awards in 2019 in recognition of her work and commitment to social justice.

Interim Executive Director, Michael Santillanes, will return to his former position as Director of Development at SFDP. Santa Fe Dreamers Project is deeply grateful for his dedication to the organization and steady hand in guiding SFDP through this leadership transition as well as the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Founder and former Executive Director Allegra Love, will focus her immigration legal work on the border as part of the El Paso Immigration Collaborative (EPIC). SFDP looks forward to the days ahead and remains committed to providing empowering, accessible legal services to our immigrant communities.
