‌Friends, I know we are just weeks into the new Democratic Senate majority, but we can’t afford to be complacent even for a moment.

So I’ll be frank with you: If my friend Senator Tammy Duckworth loses her Senate race in Illinois in 2022, we’ll lose our razor-thin Senate majority.

As you know, the Senate is split 50-50 right now, though we hold the majority since Vice President Kamala Harris breaks ties on bills.

Protecting our majority in 2022 is the only way we’ll be able to fight for the progress Virginians need and deserve. Case in point: Without a Democratic Senate, the American Rescue Plan would’ve never seen the light of day, let alone been signed into law by President Biden.

Tammy Duckworth was on the front lines of that effort to get relief for Americans impacted by the pandemic. And she’s been a leader on protecting healthcare and standing up for her fellow military veterans. To protect our progress and continue the fight in the years to come, we must reelect my friend Sen. Duckworth and protect our majority.
