Together, we must take action to stop gun violence.

Dear John,

The horrific mass shootings in Boulder on Monday and in Atlanta last week were two more painful reminders of how desperately our country needs action on gun safety.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic exacerbating the gun violence crisis, the continued rise of armed extremism, and weak gun laws allowing violent criminals to exploit loopholes in our background check system, life-saving action to end gun violence cannot wait.

If you make a contribution to Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund to support their work to end gun violence, I will personally match it—and triple it—from now until March 31.

It's been nearly 25 years since the last significant federal gun safety law was passed, and in that time an estimated 800,000 Americans have died from gun violence. Now, with Gun Sense Majorities in the House and Senate, and President Biden and Vice President Harris in the White House, we can't miss this opportunity to enact lasting gun safety reforms.

Earlier this month, the U.S. House of Representatives passed key gun safety legislation that will strengthen our background check laws and save lives. Now, the Senate must act.

The gun lobby is doing everything it can to derail these life-saving bills. They're tapping their resources and will rely on their allies in the Senate to stop these bills from becoming law. Overcoming the gun lobby will require the full power of our grassroots movement.

That's why your support is so important right now, and that's why I will personally triple match each and every contribution we get until March 31.

DONATE TO END GUN VIOLENCE

John, this is a crucial moment for our movement. Together, we must take action to stop gun violence.

Thank you for your generous help—and for helping to save lives.

Sincerely,

Mike Bloomberg
