Your Storm Heaven Intentions Today!
Dear
Friend,
Today is one of the special
Solemnities during Lent when we celebrate the Annunciation of the
Lord; Mary saying yes to the Archangel Gabriel forever changed the
world. But a day later - Friday of Passion Week, brings us to the
Traditional feast of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary. So
much to contemplate as we prepare for Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Holy
Thursday, the beginning of the Triduum.
Do you know the Seven Sorrows of
the Blessed Virgin Mary? Three
are mysteries from Jesus’ infancy and childhood.
The remaining four are from His Passion;
together, the seven highlight Mary’s Seven
Sorrows:
- The Prophecy of Simon
- The Flight into Egypt
- The Loss of the Child Jesus for Three Days
- Mary Meets Jesus on the Way to Calvary
- Mary Stands at the Foot of the Cross
- Mary Receives the Dead Body of Jesus into Her Arms
- Mary Accompanies the Body of Jesus to the Tomb
Rosary
Warriors, as we think about our intentions approaching
Holy Week, can we contemplate on these Seven Sorrows,
taking one each day and meditating upon it, keeping in mind the
unspeakable grief Our Blessed Mother experienced.
Let us look, not only into our
interior souls, but keep in mind our fellow Rosary Warriors,
especially those who carry heavy crosses. Let us remember them and
ask God to help them carry their crosses when we pray the
rosary.
As part of Operation Storm Heaven
each month, your intentions are added each month to the Holy Mass
celebrated by His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke and to the Holy
Rosary prayed by him and all the Rosary Warriors throughout the world
on the 1st of each month. Thursday, April 1st,
is Holy Thursday, the Last Supper of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
commemorating the Institution of the Holy Eucharist and the
Priesthood. Let us be grateful for the priests that give us the Holy
Eucharist and Administer the Sacraments.
As a Rosary Warrior, I would like
to invite you to present your new or updated intentions and
prayer requests for Operation Storm Heaven before the 1st
of April.
During these last remaining days of
Lent, let us spend some time reflecting on what prayer intentions you
may want to submit. Here is a suggested checklist:
- Why not include the names of individuals
and families who are carrying heavy crosses?
- With the
violence of senseless killings and the countless daily abortions
performed, we have a lot to pray for.
- How about remembering the priests that
you have encountered, those whom you love, admire, and pray for?
- Let’s not forget to include priests that
are in need of sanctification, those who are struggling to be true to
their Priestly Vows. Those priests who are deceased, who were special
to you and your family, priests who committed suicide? And priests
who are mistreated, or who are unloved, or suffer from depression or
anxiety?
Let us not forget that on Holy
Thursday we also need prayers for our One, Holy and Apostolic Catholic
Church, to fulfill its mission for spreading the Gospel through
evangelization and for the conversion of those who have fallen away.
Will you include petitions for
our Church to stand firm to the Magisterium?
And remember that all the Rosary
Warriors around the world will also be praying for your intentions.
So, please remember to also pray for theirs.
I would like to take advantage of
this opportunity to thank you for being part of Cardinal Burke's
Rosary Crusade Operation Storm
Heaven.
I would also like to encourage you to recite the Holy Rosary every day
as Our Lady requested, if you do not do so already.
Finally, if you know
others who have intentions and are in need of prayers, and to help
others join Operation Storm Heaven, please forward this email to your
family and friends and ask them to click here.
May Our Mother of Sorrows accompany
us during Passion Week, Palm Sunday and Holy Week.
Your fellow Rosary Warrior in
Christ,
Thomas J. McKenna Founder and President
