It's official, team - we have a newly announced Democratic Attorney General for the state of California!

'Rob Bonta, an Asian-American Progressive, Is Named Attorney General in California'
- New York Times

With this announcement, Rob Bonta just made history as California's first Filipino-American Attorney General!

We're thrilled about another barrier-breaking nomination to a crucial Attorney General seat and we wanted you to celebrate this moment with us. Will you sign AG Bonta's card to congratulate him on his historic nomination to be California's next Dem AG?

Fighting for justice is in AG Bonta's DNA. He was born to civil rights activists who marched in Selma, fought for democracy in the Philippines, and demanded the fair treatment of exploited farm workers alongside César Chávez and Delores Huerta.

AG Bonta has focused his public service career on fighting for justice and equality. In the state legislature, he banned for-profit prisons and repealed sentencing laws that harmed communities of color. He's protected home-owners from bogus evictions, fought to protect our climate, and has worked to get tougher hate crime laws on the books as hate-based violence continues to rise.

As California's next Attorney General, Rob Bonta will continue to push for justice, but before he gets to work, join us in celebrating this historic achievement.

Congratulate California's new Dem AG, Rob Bonta, by signing his card now!
