Happy Women’s History Month! Did you know the gender wage gap and the student debt crisis are inextricably linked? Do you have someone in your life who denies the fact that gender inequity still exists? Or someone who never speaks up or takes action to address it? I know I do!

Great news—we have resources for you to push back on that. While the student debt crisis impacts all borrowers, we’ve broken down exactly how the gender pay gap layers over the student debt crisis to paint a pretty terrible picture for women’s economic odds.

It summarizes why we have multiple Equal Pay Days, discusses racial and gender inequity, and explains how cancelling student debt would make a dent in both issues! There’s even an opportunity to take action to cancel student debt at the bottom of the blog.

I know it can be frustrating when your loved ones are ignorant to the realities of society, especially when those realities disproportionately harm an entire group of people.
