John,
With the end-of-quarter Federal Election Commission filing deadline racing towards us, we want to be upfront and honest with you about our fundraising progress.
Over the past week, our fundraising has dipped, and if we can't push our grassroots support back up to keep pace with our movement, we run the risk of losing the momentum we've fought so hard to build.
Since this will be our first time publicly reporting our finances since Jamaal took office in January, showing strong first-quarter finances is key to our movement's success. From potential challengers for Jamaal's seat in 2022 to the GOP, everyone will be watching to see how strong our movement really is, and it's up to us to have Jamaal's back.
In less than three months, Jamaal has already been hard at work, breaking down the chains of oppression and an unjust status quo that have prevented so many people from accessing much-needed resources and relief.
From championing the Care for All Agenda in support of care workers to advocating for affordable broadband through the Broadband Justice Act, and much more, Jamaal is dedicated to meeting the urgency of today's crises and bringing long-lasting change to our communities. And all of this work is powered by people like you, responding to emails just like this, John.
We must keep our grassroots fundraising strong and consistent so we can show our opponents the long-lasting impact of our movement. But it's even more important that we continue to support Jamaal, so that he can remain focused and determined on bringing much needed change to our communities.
Thank you for your continued support,
Team Bowman
