Racism is racism, wherever and however it appears.
This Saturday, March 27, the DC Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, is partnering with ANSWER (the Act Now to Stop War & End Racism Coalition) in to stand in solidarity with the Asian community in the midst of the horrific, racist, and misogynist massacre that took place in Atlanta on March 16th. Six Asian women were among the eight shot dead at point blank range.

As the leaders of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II and the Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis had written a few months ago in a public letter, "we will not stop until we can all breathe."That includes people of all colors, all faiths, all ethnic backgrounds who experience hate, discrimination, and violence because of who they are. The DC Poor People's Campaign categorically condemns all acts of hate and violence against our Asian-American community. As the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said over 50 years ago, "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
