Since the new session of Congress began, I've been focused on working for the people of Washington's 8th District. This month, the boldest COVID-19 relief package yet was passed by Congress then signed into law by President Biden. This historic package provides resources to get folks vaccinated, open schools safely, and so much more. But that's not all -- we also passed legislation to strengthen our democracy, safeguard LGBTQ+ Americans from discrimination, stop gun violence, protect Dreamers, and more.
While we've been busy at work in Congress, national Republicans have been focused on taking back the House majority in 2022. They only need to flip five seats to take back the House, and they've named our district a top target.
We need to show the opposition that this grassroots team has the strength to protect this seat and the Democratic House majority. Our first end-of-quarter deadline of the year is quickly approaching, so we set a goal to raise $30,000 more online to ensure we can make the early investments needed to build another winning campaign.
