Hey John -- allow me to introduce myself, I'm Lexie Kelly (no relation!), Laura's new Finance Director.
My job might be all about numbers and making sure we stay on track to hit our fundraising goals, but joining this grassroots team was about more than hitting goals. As Governor, Laura has led the people of Kansas with pragmatic and practical solutions that invest in the future of the state. She's fought for Kansas' schools, rural health care providers, the economy, and so much more.
I'm hitting the ground running during my first month with an urgent request: Will you pitch in $5, or whatever you can, right now? Every dollar we raise helps us get back on track for the month.

John, I didn't join this campaign because I thought Laura's re-election would be easy. In fact, Inside Elections, Cook Political Report, and The Kansas City Star are all saying this race will be one of the closest in the country.
This is a race that could easily come down to who is able to raise more money in the early days of their campaign -- which is why the first few months of my job are absolutely crucial to our team's success. Hitting our fundraising quotas means we'll have more resources to reach Kansans from across the state -- through email, online events, and targeted advertising strategies -- and continue to grow our team.
Falling behind now is not an option. Chip in $5, or whatever you can, right away to help us get our fundraising back on track.
