We asked, and you answered, John!
Last month, we wanted to hear from this community about the things children have done recently to make your life brighter – and we just had to share some of our favorites:
My 3-year-old grandson was asking me to spell some words. After I did, he asked me how I knew how to spell so many words, and I told him that I learned to spell in school. After a short pause he asked me if there were a lot of grandmas in my school! [link removed]
I work at a children’s summer camp, so I get to see children being brave: trying new activities, being the first to reach out and make a friend, helping and teaching each other. Watching them grow and seeing their small victories each day makes me smile. [link removed]
My grandson recently became intensely interested in bugs of all kinds. This last summer, for no apparent reason, he began marching around in our backyard loudly singing a song he made up about bugs: 'Oh, bugs go where they want to go and bugs do what they want to do!' [link removed]
We hope you smiled as wide as we did while reading these. As always, thank you so much for all you do to bring brightness, smiles and lifelong change to children all around the world.
