Ten lives were lost this week. An entire community is traumatized. Families are torn apart. Until we act with conviction and address the gun epidemic in this country, this will not be the last message I send offering my condolences to all those affected by a gun tragedy.
We need to ban the sale of assault weapons and limit high-capacity magazines. We know this will save lives and prevent mass shootings just like this one - which is why I continue to propose these reforms to the Washington State Legislature and urge them to take action.
