Bottom line: Jennifer Carroll Foy is a once-in-a-lifetime candidate who knows what it's like to struggle to make ends meet, go without healthcare, and raise a family as a working mom.
And that is why I’m proud to endorse Jennifer Carroll Foy for Governor of Virginia.
I’ve been excited about her candidacy for a while now and I can’t wait for her to be elected governor, but that will only happen with grassroots momentum powering her campaign to victory. Please contribute now to ensure her team can reach and turn out voters statewide.
I ran for Congress because the status quo wasn’t good enough. We need to hold powerful special interests accountable to our hardworking families. Time and time again, when crisis hits, politicians prioritize the needs of their special interest donors while leaving working class families struggling and waiting for help that never comes. And if it does come, it’s usually far too late.
Jenn has put public service first in her life. She has championed the rights of marginalized people and working Virginians as a public defender and public servant in the legislature. She helped expand Medicaid and hasn't taken a dime from Dominion energy, unlike her opponents. She has a plan for Virginia’s future.
Honestly, she inspires me.
She’s building a grassroots movement that is centered on working families and she needs your support. Please join me in supporting Jenn and chip in to support her campaign now.
If there’s one thing I know about Jenn, it’s that she defies the odds when people tell her “no.”
- She was told, “No, you can’t graduate from the Virginia Military Institute” -- but after the Supreme Court’s landmark decision to open its doors to women, she did and she was one of the first women to do so.
-
She was told, “No, you can’t run for office while pregnant” -- but when she ran for Delegate while pregnant with twins, she not only won, she flipped a Republican district.
Polling shows Jenn has momentum to defy the odds again and be elected as the first Black woman to serve as governor nationwide.
Jenn’s here to serve and she’s here to win, but she can only do it with you by her side.

Thanks for being in this fight,

Jennifer Carroll Foy was born and raised in Petersburg. In 2017, she flipped a Republican district as a first-time candidate pregnant with twins. During her time as Delegate, Jennifer championed the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, helped expand Medicaid to 400,000 Virginians, and advocated for the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable communities.
She has a career of public service and it started long before 2017. As a public defender, Jennifer helped give a voice to the often voiceless — children, people suffering from addiction, those experiencing homelessness, those with mental illness, and the poor.
Now she’s running to be the first woman elected Governor of Virginia and serve as the first Black woman to be governor nationwide.
Help her make history. Donate now.
